Making it fresh for the Melrose Farmers' Market tasting event
The Melrose Farmers’ Market (MFM) is one of the longest running farmers’ markets in Massachusetts. For the Melrose Farmers’ Market 2nd annual fundraiser event, Farm to Table Tasting, they asked me to design the collateral to spread the word about the event and materials for the event like menus and coasters. Local chefs cooked amazing dishes – all prepared with market vendor produce, meats, fish, cheese, bread, and pasta.
The fruits and vegetables are stylized in bright vibrant watercolors to highlight organic and freshness.
Over the past couple of years, we’ve been focusing on rebranding MFM with a more modern but still authentic and hand-made, made-local appeal. For this event, I used vibrant watercolor vegetables and fruits and light grey wood texture in conjunction with the Heritage (the script font) to contrast with their brand font, Gotham, to create the event logo and materials. The final result produced a hip vibe to this local event.
