Dreaming of a world of no hate

I’m so excited to share that I was written up in the local Melrose paper about my Dream of No Hate Fundraiser:

Let’s end anti-Asian racism

As an Asian American, I want to amplify the the message of ending racism and hate while raising money for organizations to Stop AAPI hate and advocate for immigrants and Asian Americans. I created merch for good that promote equality and to raise awareness to the Stop AAPI hate movement.

Leveraging my design skills into creating this merchandise that promotes equality has sparked conversations with friends and strangers and it makes me feel like I am making a tiny difference.

In a little over a month, I’ve raised over $1600 and have split donations to 3 organizations whose missions are to spread awareness about asian racism, prioritize and push for legislation to advocate for the AAPI community, & assist immigrants with job training & social services.
100% of proceeds went to: Stop AAPI Hate, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, and Asian American Civic Association
I’m so proud to have created this charity campaign and to be able to these organizations in expression of appreciation for what they have done. I’m also so overwhelmed with gratitude with all the love, allyship and support from all my family, friends and community, especially Melrose and complete strangers. It’s been such a humbling experience in leveraging my design skills and trying to shine a light on anti-Asian racism and turn it into sparking conversation to change it.

I’m also so overwhelmed with gratitude with all the love, allyship and support from all my family, friends and community, especially Melrose and complete strangers.
