Quilting can be very cathartic and meditative. You have to be very precise with the cuts of fabric and sewing all the little pieces together into one. I’m a newbie at quilting, so I opted for a simple block asymmetrical pattern that I can do a little free-styling to make it modern.
I modified this Plum and June tutorial and am super psyched on the results!
The fussy cut center is from the Eiko fabric collection. The rest of the fabric is a Fabricworm custom bundle, Red Sky Night, Keepsake Calico Arrows and Quilters Showcase Triangles. The final quilt size is 42 x 42″. I really love the play of bold magentas, pinks and dark blues.
